Wedding Memories

I think I am safe to say my mom doesn't check my blog ever unless I send her the link because I want her to see a picture.  She can text now and email but other than that she is far from being technology savvy.  Adam and I are coming up on our 3rd anniversary and I had always intended to make a wedding album for mom because we opted out of the small wedding albums since there were 4 families to buy for.  So I got on Shutterfly and got busy trying to recreate our album as close as I could.  Here is the finished project!  I enjoyed looking back at our pictures and remembering all the emotions that day brought.  This will be our mothers day gift for mom this year!

Beaching It 2011

Adam’s busy season is coming up!  The watermelons are about the size of golf balls and some softballs right now so that means busy evenings and weekends will be upon us soon (well I mean him).  When Adam’s dad asked us if we wanted to spend the weekend at his beach condo we jumped at the opportunity.  I had my classroom all ready to leave as soon as I put the kiddos on the bus and we were on the road to Daytona shortly after.  Adam and I have been going to the beach for 4 summers now and I had never been to the Daytona Beach board walk and band shell so that was our first stop on Friday night.  We had dinner at Bubba Gump’s.  It has been years since I had eaten at one.  I was telling Adam that on one of my high school chorus tours we ate at one and we had a Dr. Pepper chugging contest out of a straw.  It was extremely painful and I do not recommend it..ha!  Adam added that we could try it again for memories sake but it would look a little weird.

We had a great time at dinner and of course we both got shrimp!  I didn’t remember that they quiz you on the movie.  Together Adam and I got all our questions correct….wahoo!  We walked around the boardwalk after and checked it all out.

We went to bed early after a busy week of work and being sick.  I was up bright and early the next morning.  I got to see the sun rise and it was gorgeous!  I was excited to get the day started.

We spent the morning on the beach relaxing, people watching and just enjoying our time together.

Last summer when we were at the beach we were in the middle of the South Beach diet so when all the family went to Red Robin for dinner Adam didn’t get to get a hamburger and try the fried jalapeño coins so we had to get a burger for lunch.  Adam enjoyed the blue ribbon burger and the coins.  We missed you Annie!

I am starting to see a trend with the post it consists of food, food, and more food!  Or at least that is what I like to take pictures of…ha!  Everyone also talks about this amazing Mexican restaurant they go to when we aren’t at the beach so Adam decided to take me for my first time.  Let’s just say I am a fan!  It was delicioso!

Wonderful Wednesday

First off I am beginning to finally feel like myself again.  The bug I have had really got me out of routine.  Missing a day of work,  my Tuesday bible study, and time with my hub is not something I like to do.

I had quite the surprise when I got the mail today!  A letter from our friend Grace.  She was looking through old papers and found this paper written by Adam.  It was a “When I grow up”  paper.  I loved it!  Unfortunately he didn’t mention me...haha! It did however mention his dream to go to college and to work for Whitehurst Cattle Company which have all come true.  He is still working on the 9,000 head of cows, 100 bulls and 4 horses named Lightening, Hotwire, Jagewire, and Thunderbolt.  What a sweet memory to share! Thanks Grace for sending it our way!

Today was my day for mail because I also got the package of jewelry from the Premier Jewelry party a week or so ago.  Look out ladies I will be sporting some new stuff tomorrow!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday with your families!

Humpf!

Had to take my first sick day today!  I found myself making sub plans at 5 AM and heading to school a little after 6 to set up my room for a sub. I have a strong dislike for being out of the classroom so taking a day to be sick is hard for me but with a tummy bug the classroom was not where I needed to be.  I went to the doctor, got a prescription, and took a long afternoon nap.  I am now starting to feel like myself again.  I am looking forward to feeling 100% and getting back to my youngin’s!

Adam and I had a fun weekend together.  We started our weekend off with a dinner date at Backyard BBQ with our friends Chris and Lesley!  We just have the best time together with these friends.  Chris is silly which makes Adam comfortable because he feels like he can be his silly self.

Saturday morning we picked up limbs in the yard from that horrible storm we had on Tuesday.  It the worst storm we have had in awhile…Sadie and I sat in the hallway until it was over.  I was still so freaked out my wonderful husband came and drove me to work that morning. After a little but  yard work we got ready for the ORANGE and BLUE game.  My dad came up for it and we got to eat some breakfast at Peach Valley Café.  Yum! Just typing the name makes me think of those apple fritters.  We had a good time checking out our gators with Dad.  We hit up my favorite Red Mango before we head back to Williston to hit up Pappy’s pool for the rest of the afternoon.  Have you ever tried Red Mango because I am in love?  I eat the same thing almost every time.  Adam and I have a hard time going into Gainesville and not stopping there. After church on Sunday we headed to our favorite home improvement store LOWES!  We have gradually been replacing some of our landscape that got killed off with the winter freezes. We had a one of our knock out roses die, all the plants that boarded the sidewalk, the four plants up by the porch, and all of our little blue flower plants.  Can’t you tell I am green thumb..I know all the names?  Ha!

I think it is finally starting to shape up.  We need our tree on the right to start growing in the middle, because it is driving me crazy! We planted little plants right up front by the porch but they are almost too little and we have talked about replacing them (they were free). Hopefully by the end of April it will be perfect to enjoy all summer!

Enjoy your week it will be a busy one for us!

Blessed

I am blessed with a man who continues to love me even with all my faults.  Here a few pictures that remind me I am forever grateful for my man!

He loves and supports my family!

He is an excellent grill master and now smoker master!  That means I have it easy in the kitchen.

He took in my animals when he didn’t have to.

He is an amazing uncle which only means he will be an extraordinary dad one day.

When he gets flowers he also gives my students flowers so they feel loved too.

He eats my cake and food even when it doesn’t turn out the way I planned.

He goes to my friends weddings and their children’s birthday parties.

He waited for me at the baseball field as I visited with 7 of my students.

He is the hardest worker and I couldn’t be more proud when things go great for him.

I pray each day that God continues to strengthen our marriage and prepare us for what he has planned for our lives together.

Jewelry and Annabelle Love!

DSC_0007 (3)

On Thursday we had a girls night at the house.  My friend Danielle is a Premier Jewelry consultant and came over and set up all her jewelry.  We had fun trying everything on,  shopping, and just catching up on our busy lives!  A certain little person had more fun  than all us ladies. It was my sweet niece, Annabelle!  She has become quite the model and loves and I mean LOVES her picture to be taken.  I just can’t choose which pictures to post so excuse me if you think there are too many.  I just love her to pieces and am so glad I get to be her Aunt Nen!
